The Life of a Soul

It soars above the clouds,
And blows with the wind,
Freely.
The soul experiences a world of emotions
The exhilaration of love,
And burning passions from the core of it’s existence,
Faithfully following joy filled fantasies.

As the journey draws to a close,
The soul is engulfed by the cold, darkness.
It struggles to break free,
But fails.

As it slips into a peaceful abyss,
The immortal spirit breaks it’s bond with
It’s mortal self.
Once again it feels the freedom and
I can hear the gentle rhythm of the wind
As it whispers and sings
Through the leaves of trees
The soul flies
Through the blue of the skies,
And finally meets with eternity.
